Puttering around the house
This morning I opened the curtains in JK's room for the very first time since I put them up in September. Yeah. That room was desperately in need of some fresh air. I liked the change so much that I decided to rearrange JK's furniture so that I can have better access to the window, which the recliner was blocking before. So this is what the room looks like today: JK really likes muffins, and I can't be running off to Tim Horton's every time I want to give her one, so I baked some blueberry muffins today. The mini ones got a little too dark on the bottoms, but the big ones are ok. They didn't rise much though. The top of my piano bench is finally glued on. I had to undo some of the upholstery to fix the corners because I didn't like how they turned out the first time. Now it's great! But I think I need to move the coffee table out of the room. It's just too wide. We'll see what KD says. We have way too much oversized furniture (grand piano, couch, end tables). JK and I had a delightful time at the park yesterday (despite the cold wind) with H and Baby D. She tried out the baby swings for the first time. On the way back, H took me walking through her neighbourhood to see the houses, and there were some amazing mansions mixed in with tiny little fifties cottages!
