6 things

(picture is from our wedding, obviously, in 2002) Sweet Heather at Hopscotch and Hydrangeas tagged me! It's my first one! It is like being given permission to talk about myself! Not that I need permission for that, particularly here. Heather lives in an apartment, but looking at her pictures, you would swear you were looking at a gorgeous cottage. She's a great decorator, and I love all her lovely posts about her home and family. So, here are the rules for this tag: 1. Link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post these rules on your blog.
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. Tag people at the end of your entry. My 6 things:
  1. I am rather clumsy. One day a couple of weeks ago during supper, I think I dropped 5 or 6 different things, and managed to push half the food off my plate onto the table while trying to cut my meat. I miss steps all the time when walking up and down stairs, though I rarely fall. Which is good, or I'd fear for my daughter's life!
  2. I am one of those annoying people who like to talk while watching movies or TV. Not to carry on an unrelated conversation, but I like to make comments about the show, or criticize the performance/decor/stylist/etc. It drives KD crazy sometimes, though my friends usually say they don't mind. For example, I can't understand the stylists for Sex and the City. They have 4 gorgeous women to work with, yet Charlotte was the only character to look good through the whole movie! The other three looked strange or downright ugly much of the time. I don't know what they were thinking.
  3. One of the first things I learned how to cook when I was a kid was alfredo sauce. Yep, right after the Kraft Dinner and canned tomato soup, I was making homemade alfredo sauce. That's what we're having for supper tonight! Fettucini Alfredo with chicken.
  4. My craft area is always always always a mess because I rarely remember to clean up one project before I start on another. It's awful! Just like my mother...
  5. I am uncomfortable taking pictures with any other people around. KD and JK are fine, but anyone else intimidates me. And most of the time I don't take very good pictures anyway. The ones I post here are usually the result of at least 5 tries. so I only took one picture at my friend's Stagette yesterday.
  6. I have a thing for jugs. I don't know why. I only own three of them (one my aunt painted in the 70s, and two creamers...oh, and my gravy boat--it has a spout and a handle, it can be called a jug. At A's stagette yesterday we went to a paint-your-own-pottery place, and I painted a little jug. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Now I have to tag people. Let's see... mrs.heidi is a great friend. She looked after JK yesterday while I was out with the bride and maids. She must have a magic touch with babies because hers and mine both fell asleep at the same time, and she has pictures to prove it! Holly at Little Bit of Life left a comment on one of my posts, and I'd love to get to know her a little bit more as I continue reading through her archives. I love the picture of her house in the header and the sweet tone of her posts. Ceall Na Sidhe is my sister. She isn't sure what direction she wants her blog to go, but I think she should post about all the fun stuff she does with yarn, and the recipes she makes up or alters. She says that I give her all the best recipes, but she always adjusts it a bit to make it way better! So ladies, consider yourself tagged!

  1. I'm afraid we could never go to the movies together. I hate to break the news to you...but I'm not a movie talker. lol

I love my dvr because when my husband tries to talk through my tv shows I can pause the show and give him the LOOK while he talks. My mil never stops talking through an entire tv show. Huh. I never realized how much this bugged me til right this very second! lol

  2. Have a gabillion people told you that you both look 16 in that pic?

  3. Hi Jo :)

You're a beauiful couple! I loved learning more about you and we have clumsiness in common. I can't use a knife without almost cutting my finger off, but I love to cook LOL

  4. Darla, you're the first to say we look 16...and you're not far off! I was 19, and KD was 21 when we got married. Our families were a bit worried about us.

  5. FUn! & what a great wedding picture... you both look so sweet!
