What? No pictures?

(my sister on the left and me in 1985 or 1986) Every morning for the past couple of weeks, I am forced out of bed by some incesantly cawing magpies. They are so loud. Then, once I get out of bed, they miraculously stop! How's that for an alarm clock? I still prefer it to the beeping alarm clock, which is worse for my nerves than fingernails on a chalkboard. I took my camera in today and they are sending it out to be fixed. Luckily there is a place in the city for them to send it so it will only take 4-6 weeks. Augh! I can't live without my camera for that long! JK's birthday is on Saturday! And we're going on vacation in a month! So it's back to the film camera for a while, as soon as I get a battery for it. We have some unused film, but it's two years old at least. Should we use it, or should I get some new film? The last time I used this camera was at my sister's wedding in 2006. Then I didn't finish the roll because we got the digital right after. And then I wrecked the film by opening the back before it rewound. I really hope we get the camera back before our vacation! Lucky for you, I have thousands of pictures on my computer that you haven't seen, plus 8 boxes of pictures under the guest bed from when I was growing up...so I won't have many pictureless posts. Today is the day to absolutely finish the painting. Even if I have to stay up all night to get it done. I have one and a half coats left. Our hallway is primed and half painted. Then tomorrow I have to put the house back together, then we have company on Saturday for JK's birthday. Once the painting is done, I may have time for more creative projects, but possibly not if we're selling the house.

  1. CUTE picture! :o) Sorry about your camera. I have a big ol fancy Minolta "real film" camera that I haven't used in YEARS. I even have a roll of film in it that I never finished. Lord only knows what pictures are waiting to be discovered! The camera battery is dead though...so I can't finish the roll or rewind the film. I'm too cheap to buy a battery either. hee hee
