The Power of the Pen...a Red Pen

When I am editing, I feel powerful.  I feel educated and smart.  Maybe it's because I feel I know what I am doing.  Or because it is the skill with which I hope to one day earn a living.  Everything else I do, I feel like an amateur.  Now, I know all my friends will chime in gushing about my creativity, but there's no need.  I know I am creative, and I like it.  But I still feel like an amateur creator, and homemaker, and mother, etc.  But, I am a professional editor, and proud of it!
