What's for Dinner?
It's no secret that my daily supper cooking is uninteresting at best. My husband can't be faulted for calling it "boring". He bought us a new cookbook: Dinner Tonight: Done! It has glossy pictures for each recipe, and the best part is that the recipes are simple! Kevin looked through it and said, "Here, use this book to make supper every night for the rest of my life."
I can go through it and pick one chicken recipe, one beef, one pork, one veggie, one pasta...and there's my menu planning for the week! On Tuesday, I made spiced chicken with couscous salad. It was good, although I think next time I'll leave out the lemon juice and basil. On Wednesday, I made brown sugar-glazed pork with grilled corn. Now that was delicious! Juliana told me she wants to eat corn like that for every meal and snack "for now on!"
Today, I've got slow-cooker Cuban braised beef and peppers going. I hope it's good! And I hope the avocado is ripe enough.
Juliana gathered some flowers on our walk today. The lily is from my garden.
