Tonight is Nick's first in a big boy bed! AKA, a mattress on the floor. And we're not going back to the crib, so it had better work out. Here's his completely undecorated, but still kind of cute bedroom:
It's a 3/4 size mattress...do they even sell sheets and beds that size any more? Luckily, we have a set of double-sized sheets that are a little wide but work for now. As far as I can tell from the lack of noise upstairs, Nick went right to sleep!
PS: What do you think of the new blog format and larger pictures? Are the pictures too big? Let me know what's working and what isn't. I'm in a tweaking mood.
Oddly enough, I have a 3/4 bed frame & mattress. The mattress we had to special order, I've had the frame for years. And no, I can never find proper sheets... it's double sheets with those elastic snap corner holder thingers (yes, that's definitely the offical name for them!).

Jr's room isn't very decorated, either. He's a boy. Frankly, it's less for him to tear apart. ;) And when he gets a time out, I know that he can't hurt himself in there unsupervised. See? There's logic! :D

ReplyDeleteChristan, I've seen 3/4 size bedframes on kijiji, so if we decide to stick with this size, we'll probably get one from there, whenever Nick is ready to have a taller bed. Thanks for the tip about the elastic snap things to hold the sheet on! I'll have to try that.
