Yesterday was my husband's birthday. He had to work...first day back after our vacation. I used to buy (and once attempted to make) him a black forest cake for his birthday every year. But eventually I realised that I should make what I do best: Pies! Kevin loves pumpkin pie, so that's what he's gotten for the past few years. This one turned out deliciously, if I do say so.

Yummmm! I love pumkpin pies too. I remember my mom making my dad a black forest cake (at least once, if not more), but she was good at cakes. I'm not sure I'd attempt it. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat kind does he like? I find pie much easier to make than cake. Well, coffee cakes and things like that aren't difficult, but a frosted birthday cake scares me...I've had a few failures ;-)
