A Little Story Book - The Doctor's Lass
Yesterday, my son and I had a little date while his sister was at a princess birthday party. After a donut at Tim Horton's, I dragged the poor boy all around an antique mall. One of the things I bout was this little book, The Doctor's Lass. There is no date in it, but it has an inscription that reads, ""Hilda Johnston, Christmas 1912. That's 100 years ago! It's a pretty little book, and I look forward to reading it. It looks right at home next to the Poems of John Greenleaf Whittier, which was my very first antique book.

Oh how I love old books! I recently got rid of about a dozen boxes of (new) books but would never part with a beauty like this!

That is cool that it's about 100 years old! And it does look like a pretty book. You'll have to know us if it's as nice as the cover after you read it! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely - i just found an old L.M. Montgomery book at at barn sale - dates 1923 - it's going to be part of my growing collection.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Heather! Lucky you! Which book is it?
